I teach Voice combined with elements of Yoga & Sound Healing, to offer a holistic, embodied approach to voice work designed to help you reconnect to your authentic sound and find your spark again.

When I graduated drama school back in 2016, I found myself thrust out into the world with my equity card, spotlight pin, and plenty of dreams! But I struggled with the in-between; the auditioning, the rejections and the day jobs that didn’t make me happy.
​
I’d been practising yoga for a few years, but at this time truly fell in love with it as a tool to ground and calm myself. Like lots of actors in need of a side hustle, I trained as a Yoga Teacher in 2019 and because I was a singer, my journey to sound healing felt like an inevitable, natural progression…

It wasn’t that simple, because like many, my relationship with my voice was intrinsically linked to the worth I felt as an actor, and I no longer felt the joy I used to feel in using it. In fact, I judged my voice, berated it, and gave it very little value.
​
So began a period of deep introspection and healing.

"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self..." and the practice, along with Sound Healing, continues to guide me inwards, back to my truth and back to a place of peace.

I know that I was led down the path of yoga & sound to heal my voice, and then to help you heal yours too. My approach to voice work is holistic, centring the person and combining these ancient tools with contemporary research-based technique. I am currently researching the impact of incorporating the yoga practice into singing pedagogy as part of my MA with the Voice Study Centre. Alongside my other work I teach Voice at Performers College, Birmingham.​
